Atlantis the Last ResortSTORY / GAMEPLAY
The CyberResort of Atlantis has become infected by a deadly virus! Clean the virus and you're done! Your mission is to shut down the reactor at the core of the Atlantis resort. You have to go through 20 levels of mindless blasting in an area infected by a deadly virus! The gameplay is where you'll ultimately hit or miss! Note that this game is similar to Wolfenstein 3D. In an attempt to push every possible option to the 2-buttons CD-i controller, things got frustrating most of the time and you'll be getting killed just by trying to side step!

GRAPHICS / SOUND
In terms of graphics, this game tries its best to shovel in all it can and still keeps a reasonable framerate. Since the new CD sound technique is used, everything must be loaded into the limited memory of the CD-i (with DV cart memory) and the result isn't the best possible at this point. The room textures and creatures were done with the use of a software 3D rendering in low resolution and thus, most enemies, even at a distance, start to pixelize badly. More on that, the framerate drops a bit when too many enemies crowd the screen. Nevertheless, the graphics are pretty impressive for its time and I really liked the pre-rendered 3D animations in-between missions! The sound is great, with CD-audio music and some nice sampled sound effects.
